DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER (coming soon!)

DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER is primarily intended for use in combination with DELTA®-MS as flood boot to protect the cold joint (where the foundation wall meets the footing).

In areas where fluctuating water tables may occur, DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER provides an extra degree of security against potential water infiltration at critical areas. It may also be used to protect any other non-moving concrete cold joint.

In addition, DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER may be used as the detail membrane at cold joints, inside corners, and outside corners in DELTA®-THENE 40 and DELTA®-THENE 60 waterproofing membrane applications

Properties

DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER has highly aggressive adhesive properties. The product acts as a waterproof membrane to protect critical areas. When used in combination with DELTA®-MS, it helps provide a high degree of security against water penetration due to fluctuating water tables in an effective foundation protection system. It prevents inward migration of moisture that accumulates on top of the footing, and thus helps to avoid moisture problems with insulated basement walls.

Material

DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER is a 40 mil (1 mm) self-adhering (peel & stick) membrane. It consists of SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) modified asphalt laminated to high density polyethylene.

Application

DELTA®-COLDJOINT BARRIER comes in manageable 18” (460 mm) wide rolls with a center split release liner for easy application. It is also has a dotted line along the center for easy alignment and convenient markings at 6" (approx 15 cm) and 12" (approx 30 cm) for trouble-free measuring. It is applied along the cold joint at the junction of the footing and the foundation wall. When used in combination with DELTA®-MS and DELTA®-FOOTING BARRIER, it is part of an effective foundation protection system.
